Reporoa to Waikite #

Reporoa and Waikite Valley make a wonderful long ride south of Rotorua:

Heading south through Whaka forest and then along the Te Ara Ahi cycleway takes you to Waiotapu, where you head briefly off the highway past the entrance to the Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland. After a few more kilometres on the highway, you turn off again onto quiet roads in the Reporoa valley, and make your way down to Tutukau Road. From there you’re back on more quiet gravel roads, before making your way back to Waikite Valley and heading home via the Hemo Gorge cycleway.
