• Ride Rotorua has a great collection of trail descriptions in Whaka Forest. It’s mainly aimed at mountain bikers, but the information is good for bikepackers too.
• The Governent agency Herenga ā Nuku (previously called Walking Access New Zealand) provides maps that show where you are legally allowed to ride.
• The main Tour Aotearoa website has information on the various bikepacking events organised by the Kennett Brothers, including the Tour Aotearoa, the Kopiko Aotearoa, and the Sounds to Sounds.
